Back-Up Care
Bright Horizons back-up care program provides working parents with a safety net
for those days when regular arrangements fall through. Back-up child care supplements,
rather than replaces, your regular child care arrangements; a comforting emergency
alternative when you need it the most.
Program Options
Depending on your employer’s offering, you may enroll your child in a variety of
back-up care solutions that Bright Horizons provides.
- Dedicated back-up child care centers are for the exclusive use of your employer.
- Memberships in either consortium or full-service child care centers enable multiple
employers to purchase spaces in one common center dedicated exclusively to back-up
child care. In a full-service child care center, space is secured within the program
for back-up care.
- The Bright Horizons Back-Up Care Advantage
Program provides access to back-up care for children — both well and mildly
ill — and elders through a nationwide network of quality, licensed child care centers,
including hundreds of Bright Horizons child care centers, as well as in-home care
provided by trained, credentialed and experienced licensed home health care professionals.
High Standards of Care
Bright Horizons' back-up child care programs were the first of their kind to be
accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC).
All child care and early education centers available through Bright Horizons are
accredited by NAEYC or meet the established standards of quality for accreditation
or state licensing, including developmentally appropriate curriculum, appropriate
health and safety policies, teacher-child ratios, and teacher licensure. The home
health care professionals are trained and experienced in child care or adult/elder
care and meet stringent licensing and credentialing requirements.
